Latinxploration

Inspired by John Leguizamoʼs Latin History for Morons on Netflix, and with BIPOC kids having some of the highest bullying rates in the country, I wanted to create something that addressed these issues where they all begin—childhood education. So my husband and I co-created Latinxploration, an add-on curriculum with specified activities for three age groups, designed specifically for how each age group learns. These books were intended for teachers to read and then present the information + worksheets to their students. With the color and typography, I wanted it to come across as playful, approachable, and engaging. And in 2020, a homeschool co-op reached out to us looking for a few copies, so we temporarily released the books as free digital downloads.
